Industrial Radiography is a specialist form of non-destructive testing  that uses high-energy ionising radiation to inspect materials and components. This process helps identify defects or material degradation before they lead to failures in components or engineering structures. Testing may be carried out either within Shielded Radiography Enclosures or on a Site Radiography basis.

We also provide advice to clients who use Desktop and Handheld X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) Analysers to undertake positive materials identification.

L2 also support clients who use Mobile Gauges that contain radioactive sources (typically gamma and neutron sealed sources) used for geotechnical ground instigations and Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) testing.

At L2, we stay at the forefront of industry standards. As members of the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT) and the Society of Radiological Protection (SRP), we actively contribute to the HSE Across Industry Industrial Radiography (HAIIR) Working Group and HSE RPA Meetings.
