Talk to us about our Radiological Protection Services

Our work in radiation shielding design involves hand calculations and we
make use of software modelling such as MicroShield®. We support clients to obtain HSE/HSENI issued Registration Certificates and Consent Certifications (including development of suitable Safety Assessment) required by IRR17/IRR(NI)17.

In addition to appointment as RPA by clients we are also appointment as Radioactive Waste Advisers (RWA) under EPR16/EARS18 to provide advice on clients who wish to apply for and utilise Radioactive Substance Activity (RSA) environmental permits.

The regulations that cover the carriage of radioactive materials specify that any undertaking involved in the carriage, or related packing, loading, filling, or unloading of radioactive materials (Class 7 dangerous goods) has a legal obligation to appoint a Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA).

L2 employ a number of Dangerous Goods Safety Advisers (DGSA) with
extensive experience in Class 7 dangerous goods to provide advice to clients on the transport of radioactive materials and waste by road, rail, sea and air.
